Andalusia TRADE, the business agency for the transformation and economic development of the Government of Andalusia, has recently organized a significant event that has brought together important commercial agents from France and Switzerland with the aim of strengthening the natural stone in Almeria. This meeting is part of a broader strategy to promote the international presence of this strategic sector, underlining the importance of cross-border trade relations.
The event, which took place at the facilities of several recognized brands in Macael, one of the most important family businesses in Spain, Almería, not only served as a platform to showcase high-quality products but also as a means to establish lasting relationships and possible business agreements with highly prestigious prescribers. During the trade mission, which began on April 10 and ended on Friday of the same week, seven Almeria firms specialized in marble and other natural stones were presented.
The program included visits to companies such as Gutiérrez Mena, known for its white Macael marble; Cuellar Stone, specialists in marble for luxury buildings; and Consentino, a family business which has achieved a global reach, present in more than one hundred markets and which generated more than 2023 million euros in sales in 1.500.
These types of initiatives underline the commitment of Andalusia TRADE with the internationalization of the Andalusian business sector, especially in traditional industries such as natural stone, which is vital for the economic fabric of the region. The event also had the collaboration of specialized publications such as Pierre Actual and the participation of international companies such as Mardeco from Switzerland.
According to the Secretary General of Foreign Action of the Junta de Andalucía, Enric Millo, this meeting not only reinforces the position of Andalusia as a leader in the natural stone industry but also highlights the importance of family businesses in the perpetuation and growth of the local economy in a global context.
