by Maria Comellas En comma-ruga we have enjoyed so much Thursday Magazine as well as the visits of their cartoonists whom we have welcomed numerous times in our town while they enjoyed their summer vacations. Proof of this are the drawings that are still displayed in restaurants and cafes in comma-ruga.
This year, 2017, marks 40 years since the birth of the satirical publication and in Coma-ruga we want to unite by organizing a small exhibition with historical issues of the magazine kept by local collectors. The magazine El Jueves keeps the flame of satirical humor burning and no one is safe from its biting articles. All this thanks to the support of the RBA Editorial Group and its president Richard Rodrigo.
In this exhibition we hope to see samples of historical figures from this magazine such as Martínez el Facha, Leopoldo, an office worker who is the last straw, Betty, Rodolfo Valentín is always hot, Father Cirilo, Don Tristán Vallejo and Riuet and so on, a long etcetera of all those who have made us laugh.
