Blanes beach is located in front of the old part of the city. This popular beach is 625 meters long and 30 meters wide, stretching from Sa Palomera, the rocky promontory that separates the old town from the tourist district of the pins, to the yacht marina.
There are far fewer hotels in this part of the city, so you will find more locals on this beach than in S'Abanell. Most of the tourists who use the Blanes Beach they stay in nearby self-catering apartments.
By the way, many of the beach users have a peculiar habit of choosing a place close to other beach visitors, even if there is plenty of space available. If that bothers you, leave an extra towel or two to mark your spot.
