All the seafaring festivals that mark the year Lloret de Mar They are perfectly complemented by the incredible nightlife enjoyed by this town, one of the most emblematic in Europe. Clubs /Discoteques, beach bars, bars, pubs and a very youthful atmosphere lengthen the summer nights, but also those of much of the winter, thanks to the mild climate of the area. There are many tourists and travelers from the rest of Europe and even other parts of the world, who come to the town of the Costa Brava attracted by the fame of its lively nightlife, as well as by the beautiful natural environment that the town enjoys.

But for those who enjoy popular celebrations and festivals, as well as traditions that date back hundreds of years, there are also festivals of this type since spring. It is during the month of May when a pilgrimage is celebrated in the hermitage of Santa Cristina, with sardana concerts performed by top orchestras; A little later, in June, the celebrations continue with the Night of Sant Joan, full of bonfires, dances and fireworks.

But it is not until July 24 when the main festival of Lloret de Mar is celebrated: it is about the Santa Cristina FestivitiesSant Jaume y Saint Elmo. On the occasion of this event, a marine procession takes place that transports the relics of the Saint from the parish church to the hermitage.

The relics are transported in boats guided by fishermen dressed in the old style, accompanied by music and bells. The participation of the spectators is curious, who with the traditional cry of “s'amorra, s'amorra” warn of the moment in which the boat carrying the image reaches the beach. Afterwards, a pilgrimage is held with a tasting of stews and traditional dances, and the day concludes with a display of fireworks on Lloret Beach.

August is music month in Lloret, with concerts held in the Plaza del Pino and the hermitage of Santa Cristina. Already on September 11, the classic Diada takes place, the National Holiday of Catalonia, which, as in the rest of the Community, is celebrated with a large number of events, among which the sardana competition, the regional dance of Catalonia, stands out. During this same month, tourists also pay tribute in the town; At the end of September, World Tourism Day is celebrated, with concerts, dances, habanera competitions and fireworks.

And during the winter, specifically in mid-November, the Lloret de Mar Winter Festival, specifically on Sant Romà day (November 18). These festivities last no less than fifteen days full of fun, with festivals, concerts, competitions, dances and a Classic Vehicle Meeting that has been held since 2005, and which has become a traditional event within these celebrations.
