City Hall-FCC Agreement

Blanes wants the state to guarantee the 10 million it owes to FCC, the City Council and the company close an agreement to put an end to the litigation. If the State does not endorse the invoices presented, Fomento will request a credit that will have to be assumed by the blanenc consistory

El Blanes Town Hall and Fomento de Construcciones y Contratas (FCC) have reached an agreement to close the open dispute. The council has a debt with the company of almost ten million euros. The claim for this money and interest is in the hands of the courts. However, according to the agreement, the City Council will pay in exchange for FCC waiving interest and keeping the litigation open. “It is a historic opportunity to close a debt that we had in litigation; if we had gone to trial they could have asked us for more than 13 or 14 million euros”, explained the mayor, Josep Marigo.
