The Government of Andalusia has announced the launch of the “AS Plan”, a broad package of administrative simplification measures designed to make the region a magnet for investment and improve the quality of life of its citizens. The plan, which is part of a broader initiative called "Plan Andalucía Simplifica", has as its main objective reducing bureaucracy and streamlining administrative procedures in the region.
The decree law associated with the plan will modify 176 regulations, 53 laws, 95 decrees and 28 orders, which will result in a 90% reduction in the number of applications used by the Junta de Andalucía, going from more than 1.000 to less than 100. In addition, more than 450 administrative simplification measures will be implemented to eliminate regulatory complexity, reduce cumbersome procedures and speed up the processing of applications.
Among the notable measures is the significant reduction in resolution times for requests such as the Dependency, which will go from the current 555 days to an estimated maximum of 180 days. The procedures for the Minimum Income for Social Insertion and the recognition of the status of a large family will also be simplified, among others.
The "AS Plan" also includes measures to promote the digital transformation of the administration, improve the protection of historical heritage and streamline procedures in areas such as health and public procurement.
With this initiative, it is expected not only to attract investments and facilitate business activity in Andalusia, but also to improve the experience of citizens when interacting with the public administration. The regional government is committed to ensuring that these measures are implemented effectively and that they contribute to the economic and social development of the region.
