The magistrate of the Court of Girona Juan Mora Lucas acquitted the professor; he of having been accused of embezzlement and prevarication to the professor of the UdG.

In the sentence, which is appealable. The Professor has been convicted of Negotiations and prohibited activities, having been acquitted of the serious accusations of the prosecution.
The prosecution has not been able to prove their accusations of embezzlement, prevarication and documentary falsehood, the judge having decreed innocence on these charges.
The ruling maintains that he "clearly violated the incompatibility regime" as an official when he created seven commercial companies "omitting the procedure" for technology companies and that it is considered proven that he "irregularly hired" UdG staff for spin-offs.
In addition, the Court of Girona has ruled out that it invoiced more than 450.000 euros to the university to "obtain an illicit patrimonial benefit" in exchange for "nonexistent services."
He faced a sentence of 7 and a half years in prison and the sentence is only 6 months, a fine of 4.320 euros and one year of disqualification.
